Paris, the city of love – Day 1

We took Air France, landed in Paris in the afternoon and headed to the Les Deux Magots cafe restaurant as our first stop in Paris. The famous Les Deux Magots cafe in the Saint-Germain-des-Pres area of Paris, France had a reputation as the rendezous of the literary and intellectual elite of the city and is now a popular tourist destination.

We were greeted by friendly staff and got a table outside. We o

rdered the omelette 3 saveurs which is essentially omelette with three flavours. Those of you who follow me on my Instagram @sleepingbeautytravels would know that I’m a super egg fan who loves almost anything eggy like omelette and eggs benedict etc. I feel that I have to make a special mention of the pistachio macaron that we ordered as it is simply HUGE and yummy. There’re also the Les Deux Magots housebranded chocolates to go with our coffees. This is a street view taking from where we were sitting outside the restaurant.

Next, we moved on to our second stop and also the last stop of the day, Notre Dame de Paris. It’s probably one of the most well-known landmarks in Paris which explains the large crowd of visitors daily. It is important to note that it’s free to enter Notre Dame de Paris, but no baggages are allowed.

The weather was rather gloomy like it was going to rain anytime but the clouds didn’t manage to cloud the beauty of Notre-Dame.

To be continued…

Stay tuned for Day 2 of our Paris trip 🙂
