We flew with Air France and landed in Paris in the early afternoon, full of excitement and ready to soak in the city’s magic. After checking in, we headed straight to our very first stop in Paris: the iconic Les Deux Magots.
Located in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Les Deux Magots is far more than just a café. It is famously known as a historic meeting place for Paris’s literary and intellectual elite, and today it remains one of the city’s most beloved and iconic cafés.
Despite its fame, we were warmly greeted by friendly staff and managed to secure a table outside—perfect for people-watching and easing into Parisian life.
We ordered the Omelette 3 Saveurs, a classic omelette with three flavours. Those of you who follow me on Instagram (@sleepingbeautytravels) already know I’m a serious egg lover—whether it’s omelettes, eggs Benedict, or anything delightfully egg-based, I’m always sold. Every bite was comforting and satisfying, exactly what we needed after our flight.
I also have to make a special mention of the pistachio macaron we ordered—it was absolutely huge and incredibly delicious. Paired with our coffee were Les Deux Magots’ house-branded chocolates, a lovely little touch that made the experience feel even more indulgent.
This is a street view taking from where we were sitting outside the restaurant.
Our second and final stop of the day was Notre Dame de Paris. One of the most recognisable landmarks in the world, it’s no surprise that it draws large crowds daily. Entry to Notre-Dame is free, though it’s worth noting that large bags and luggage are not allowed.
The weather had turned rather gloomy, with heavy clouds threatening rain, but nothing could dull the beauty of Notre-Dame. Even under grey skies, the cathedral stood magnificent and timeless—a powerful reminder of Paris’s enduring charm.

Great blog. Love Paris. Hope you enjoy your visit!
Thank you so much! 🙂 Yours is great too.
